Volunteerism is one of the most selfless acts that we can become involved in!
We have over 40 volunteers who deliver hot and frozen meals to members of our community who are at nutritional risk. Our volunteers also provide social support, security and wellness checks.
Volunteers play a vital role in all of the services offered by Meals on Wheels Port Colborne.
If you would like to assist your neighbours, friends and people in your community, we would be delighted to have you join our volunteer team.
Agency policy requires all volunteers to have references, and we may require a police check.
COVID UPDATE: As per the Chief Medical Officer of Health Vaccination Directive #6 our Board Policy states that all volunteers will need to be doubly vaccinated.
Provides transportation for clients to and from our Wheels to Meals Luncheons.
***NOTE: This service is currently on hold due to the global pandemic.
All delivery routes are currently filled by caring volunteers, however we are always looking for individuals to be added to our "spare" list for days when our current volunteers are not able to make it.
We are also a proud partner with our local schools and welcome interested co-op students to assist our current volunteers on routes and in the office.
If you are interested, please contact our office, weekdays at 905-835-1581 or drop us an email at email@example.com
